Who is Caterpillar
Caterpillar is the American engine major from Peoria, Illinois, whose four-stroke marine and offshore diesel engines power merchant ships, workboats, offshore vessels and gensets worldwide. Caterpillar acquired the German maker MaK in 1997, so the range spans the CAT 3500 and 3600 marine series, the high-speed C-Series, and the MaK medium-speed engines.
