Pielstick — SEMT Pielstick of France — designs the PC and PA medium-speed four-stroke marine diesel engines, named after the engineer Gustav Pielstick. Licence-built worldwide and now part of the MAN group, Pielstick engines have powered naval ships, ferries, tugs, offshore vessels and gensets since the 1950s.

The four-stroke engines on this page are the SEMT Pielstick PC and PA designs of France — one of the oldest names in engineering. Pielstick of France acquired the Pielstick diesel business in 1997, and in 2015 the line passed to MAN, the MAN group.
